The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) offers free tax help to low to moderate income (generally $49,000 and below) It is provided annually to area residents, but is also available to residents of the State.

CJCDC has served as a VITA site for low and moderate income families who wish to file their tax returns. A collaborative partnership with the IRS provides for CJCDC to recruit, train and maintain a volunteer force of professionals that sign up every year to provide community service to local families. CJCDC has provided assistance to more than 450 individuals and 110 households from Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties.
