Mrs. Sharon Eileen Tucker Brown joined First Baptist Community Development Corporation (FBCDC) in 1997. Hailing from the Keystone State - Mrs. Brown was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). Following graduation Mrs. Brown pursued her passion of teaching by serving in the Pittsburgh Public School System as an elementary teacher.

The opportunity arose for Mrs. Brown to pursue her love of travel. She began a career in the airline industry and moved to the Garden State of New Jersey to join People Express Airlines who is now Continental Airlines. Continental Airlines became the training ground for her development in the areas of training and development, organizational development, management and human resources. In 1989 Mrs. Brown was selected to join a team of individuals to create a separate consulting firm, The Quality Service Institute, whose focus was to begin a culture change within the Continental organization. Upon completion of this assignment she moved into a human resources capacity for the Newark Hub. During this time Mrs. Brown received her Human Resource Generalist Certificate from the Society for Human Resources Management, of which she remains a member.

Joining the First Baptist Group as Director of Human Resources provided the opportunity for Mrs. Brown to bring all her previous experience to support and enhance the work being accomplished in the area of community building by FBCDC. Mrs. Brown transitioned from the HR role at FBCDC to the Director of the Family Resource Center and has since become the Executive Director. Mrs. Brown currently resides in Somerset, New Jersey with her husband and two children.
